Space & Missions Systems (SMS) sector has begun a journey to
develop advanced Digital Engineering Capabilities that will support
SMS programs for decades to come. We are in the early stages of
that journey and currently designing and implementing a next
generation PLM system with foundational capabilities that will
enable SMS to transform into a model-based enterprise and redefine
how we Engineer products. We are looking for a results-oriented
Senior Software Systems Architect to help us develop, support, and
transform the business with this next generation tool set. The
Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit
comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that
enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating
technologies for our customers' missions. Our collaborative,

continual learning and strong execution.What You'll Do:
- In this role, you will be an integrated team member, with
leadership opportunities, collaborating with other team leads,
Engineers, third party software consultants, and ITS application
owners in one or more phases of Project Planning, Requirements
Development, Design, Build, Test and Maintenance.
- Design and interface the solution to work with other legacy
applications in support of Product Design and Manufacturing.
- We will provide you opportunities to learn and be a leader in
our Engineering Organization.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the
primary work location. Travel and local commute between company
campuses and other possible non-company locations may be
required.Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor,
or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of
protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather
conditions.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may
substitute for two years of experience. Related technical
experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be
from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an
agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department
of Education.
- Experience with Dassault Systems Enovia brand 3DExperience
Platform technology - preferably versions 2023x and greater.
- Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation
principals.
- Application development experience with JavaScript, Java, and
Linux.
- Use of integrated development environment (Eclipse and /or
Visual Studio / Emacs or equivalent) for software coding and
debugging.
- Great software design skills and sound engineering
instincts.
- Experience with modern architectures such as messaging
architectures and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with modern software development practices including
the use of software version source control, coding standards and
style guides.
- Knowledge and experience applying DevSecOps concepts.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience across all software development lifecycle stages,
from business development through maintenance.
- Experience designing interfaces to other software systems by
working closely with architects from other enterprise systems (such
as Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution
Systems (MES)).
- Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and
technical writing skills
- Excellent communication skills. A security clearance or access
with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position.
However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission,
depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and
must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.Preferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in modern C++, Python SQL, and Perl.
- Development and debugging experience with Apache
httpd/Tomcat/TomEE+ servers.
- Agile development methodologies, GitHub, and JIRA experience.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610.000 -
$215270.000Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
